CVDL is proud to announce that attorney Chloe Russell has been named a 2026 Up & Coming honoree by Missouri Lawyers Media. The annual award recognizes Missouri attorneys who are achieving at a high level early in their careers. Honorees are under 40 or have been practicing for fewer than 10 years.
Chloe accepted the award at a luncheon at the Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis, joined by her husband, Adam. She is featured with this year’s honorees in the October issue of Missouri Lawyers Weekly.
Chloe’s path to the law began with an honest realization. As an undergraduate, she had been pre-admitted to veterinary school. She came to see that loving animals wasn’t the same as loving veterinary medicine. She chose law instead, wanting to help people through some of life’s most important moments. She found that work in estate planning.
Earlier this year, Chloe became head of CVDL’s estate planning practice. She helps individuals and families across Missouri put the right plans in place to protect what they’ve built and provide for the people they love. Her clients include farmers and landowners, business owners, retirees, and young families. Her work ranges from straightforward wills to farm and business succession plans and advanced strategies for high-net-worth clients.
Chloe credits her mentors, including Garry Reuter and CVDL’s Heidi Doerhoff Vollet, with modeling the professionalism and integrity she brings to her own practice. Leading the practice now gives her the chance to pay that mentorship forward. Her favorite moment as a lawyer so far? Drafting her own grandmother’s estate plan.
This honor adds to Chloe’s growing list of recognitions, including Super Lawyers Rising Star in Estate Planning (2024–2025). She earned her J.D. cum laude from Chicago-Kent College of Law and is licensed in Missouri and Illinois. Outside the office, she has been jumping horses since age four and rescues dogs.
Congratulations, Chloe!
