$25 million class settlement approved

A Missouri federal court has approved a $25 million class action settlement that compensates thousands of Missouri landowners for the unauthorized use of their property for commercial telecommunications.  This settlement concludes seven years of hard-fought litigation between the class and Sho-Me Power Electric Cooperative and Sho-Me Technologies LLC.  CVDL served as co-counsel for the plaintiffs.   …read more

Missouri Supreme Court issues decision regarding jurisdiction of Missouri state courts over out-of-state corporations

On November 20, the Missouri Supreme Court issued its decision in State ex rel. PPG Industries, Inc. v. McShane, SC97006, finding that a publicly-available website is insufficient to give Missouri courts jurisdiction over an out-of-state corporation. Court of Appeals affirms dismissal of election challenge
