The Missouri Supreme Court will consider whether applications for absentee voter ballots are subject to Disclosure under Missouri’s Sunshine Law. The circuit court ruled that a local election board was required to disclose absentee ballot applications following an election, but the Eastern District disagreed. In resolving this case, the Supreme Court will interpret § 115.289, which dictates the procedures for handling absentee ballot applications, in light of the open records provisions of the Sunshine Law.
