CVDL’s Heidi Doerhoff Vollet recognized for top 2018 settlement

January 28, 2019 by tisha@firehousedesign.com

On January 25, 2019, Missouri Lawyers Weekly honored CVDL’s Heidi Doerhoff Vollet and co-counsel Fred O’Neill for the third largest settlement in Missouri in 2018. In November 2018, a federal judge in Jefferson City gave final approval to a $25 million settlement in Biffle v. Sho-Me Power Electric Cooperative, et al., a suit in which CVDL and two other out-of-state firms represented a class of Missouri landowners in a suit over trespassing commercial use of private property by a utility company.  More than 4,000 current and former Missouri landowners are eligible for benefits from the settlement fund.
